cgi-bin/mft/wireless_mft.cgi in AirLive BU-2015 with firmware 1.03.18 16.06.2014, AirLive BU-3026 with firmware 1.43 21.08.2014, AirLive MD-3025 with firmware 1.81 21.08.2014, AirLive WL-2000CAM with firmware LM.1.6.18 14.10.2011, and AirLive POE-200CAM v2 with firmware LM.1.6.17.01 uses hard-coded credentials in the embedded Boa web server, which allows remote attackers to obtain user credentials via crafted HTTP requests.

The bug was discovered 07/06/2015. The weakness was disclosed 12/28/2017 by Core Security with Core Security as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-8389 since 10/22/2014. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details and a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1202 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

A public exploit has been developed by Core Security and been published before and not just after the advisory. The exploit is shared for download at exploit-db.com.
