A vulnerability was found in phpMyAdmin up to 4.7.6.0/4.7.6 (Database Administration Software). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown function. phpMyAdmin versions 4.7.x (prior to 4.7.6.1/4.7.7) are vulnerable to a CSRF weakness. By deceiving a user to click on a crafted URL, it is possible to perform harmful database operations such as deleting records, dropping/truncating tables etc.
The bug was discovered 12/20/2017. The weakness was published 01/03/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at phpmyadmin.net. Upgrading to version 4.7.6.1 or 4.7.7 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published 2 months after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
