An Improper Input Validation issue was discovered in Advantech WebAccess versions prior to 8.3. WebAccess allows some inputs that may cause the program to crash.
The bug was discovered 01/04/2018. The weakness was published 01/05/2018 by Andrea Micalizzi with Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2017-16753 since 11/09/2017. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
