A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, has been found in Adobe Flash Player and AIR 3.9.0.1030/3.9.0.1060/11.2.202.310/11.9.900.151 (Multimedia Player Software). Adobe Flash Player before 11.7.700.252 and 11.8.x and 11.9.x before 11.9.900.152 on Windows and Mac OS X and before 11.2.202.327 on Linux, Adobe AIR before 3.9.0.1210, Adobe AIR SDK before 3.9.0.1210, and Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler before 3.9.0.1210 allow attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via unspecified vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2013-5330.
The weakness was presented 11/12/2013 by Wen Guaxing with VenusTech as Update for Vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with Adobe. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-5329 since 08/20/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 06/02/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product decreasing in the near future.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 70857 (Adobe AIR <= 3.9.0.1030 Memory Corruptions (APSB13-26)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows.
