A vulnerability was found in Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine (Cloud Software) (version now known) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function check_privileges of the file vmdb/app/controllers/application_controller.rb of the component ManageIQ. The check_privileges method in vmdb/app/controllers/application_controller.rb in ManageIQ, as used in Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine (CFME), allows remote authenticated users to bypass authorization and gain privileges by leveraging improper RBAC checking, related to the rbac_user_edit action.
The bug was discovered 02/18/2015. The weakness was published 01/11/2018 as Bug 1067623 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com.
