A vulnerability was found in TP-LINK WVR, WAR and ER (Wireless LAN Software) (unknown version) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file webfilter.lua. TP-Link WVR, WAR and ER devices allow remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary commands via command injection in the new-time variable in the webfilter.lua file.
The bug was discovered 01/10/2018. The weakness was disclosed 01/11/2018 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-15636 since 10/19/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication.
