Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in minizip up to 1.1-4. Affected is the function do_extract_currentfile of the file miniunz.c of the component miniunzip. The manipulation as part of a ZIP Archive leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
