The Trello importer in Atlassian Jira before version 7.6.1 allows remote attackers to access the content of internal network resources via a Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF). When running in an environment like Amazon EC2, this flaw maybe used to access to a metadata resource that provides access credentials and other potentially confidential information.
The bug was discovered 01/17/2018. The weakness was disclosed 01/17/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at jira.atlassian.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-16865 since 11/16/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
