The reader view will display cross-origin content when CORS headers are set to prohibit the loading of cross-origin content by a site. This could allow access to content that should be restricted in reader view. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 58.
The bug was discovered 01/23/2018. The weakness was published 01/23/2018 by Abdulrahman Alqabandi with Tencent as MFSA 2018-02 as confirmed security advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-5119 since 01/03/2018. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
