A vulnerability classified as critical was found in PacketFence up to 3.0.1. This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality of the file html/admin/login.php. html/admin/login.php in PacketFence before 3.0.2 allows remote attackers to conduct LDAP injection attacks and consequently bypass authentication via a crafted username.
The bug was discovered 10/15/2011. The weakness was presented 02/01/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at packetfence.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-4069 since 10/15/2011. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
