A vulnerability was found in DokuWiki up to 2017-02-19e (Content Management System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing in the library /lib/exe/ajax.php. The call parameter of /lib/exe/ajax.php in DokuWiki through 2017-02-19e does not properly encode user input, which leads to a reflected file download vulnerability, and allows remote attackers to run arbitrary programs.
The bug was discovered 02/02/2018. The weakness was shared 02/03/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.debian.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-18123 since 02/02/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
