Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager (aka NXRM) 2.x before 2.14.6 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via (1) the repoId or (2) format parameter to service/siesta/healthcheck/healthCheckFileDetail/.../index.html; (3) the filename in the "File Upload" functionality of the Staging Upload; (4) the username when creating a new user; or (5) the IQ Server URL field in the IQ Server Connection functionality.

The bug was discovered 02/08/2018. The weakness was presented 02/09/2018 as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is available at seclists.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2018-5307 since 01/08/2018. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
