A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 4.14.14 (Operating System) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function futex_requeue of the file kernel/futex.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a integer overflow vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-190. The futex_requeue function in kernel/futex.c in the Linux kernel before 4.14.15 might allow attackers to cause a denial of service (integer overflow) or possibly have unspecified other impact by triggering a negative wake or requeue value.
The bug was discovered 01/14/2018. The weakness was published 02/12/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at git.kernel.org.
