An issue was discovered in QPDF before 7.0.0. There is an infinite loop in the QPDFWriter::enqueueObject() function in libqpdf/QPDFWriter.cc.
The bug was discovered 08/12/2017. The weakness was presented 02/13/2018 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-18183 since 02/13/2018. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
