A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Wavpack 5.1.0. Affected by this issue is the function ParseDsdiffHeaderConfig of the file cli/dsdiff.c of the component DSDIFF File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The ParseDsdiffHeaderConfig function of the cli/dsdiff.c file of WavPack 5.1.0 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial-of-service (heap-based buffer over-read) or possibly overwrite the heap via a maliciously crafted DSDIFF file.
