A vulnerability was found in NetIQ eDirectory PKI Plugin up to 8.8.8 Patch 10 (Directory Service Software) and classified as critical. The certificate upload in NetIQ eDirectory PKI plugin before 8.8.8 Patch 10 Hotfix 1 could be abused to upload JSP code which could be used by authenticated attackers to execute JSP applets on the iManager server.
The bug was discovered 10/02/2017. The weakness was disclosed 03/02/2018 as Bug 1024957 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.suse.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-7429 since 04/05/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication.
