The certificate upload in NetIQ eDirectory PKI plugin before 8.8.8 Patch 10 Hotfix 1 could be abused to upload JSP code which could be used by authenticated attackers to execute JSP applets on the iManager server.

The bug was discovered 10/02/2017. The weakness was disclosed 03/02/2018 as Bug 1024957 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.suse.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-7429 since 04/05/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication.
