Cavium Nitrox SSL, Nitrox V SSL, and TurboSSL software development kits (SDKs) allow remote attackers to decrypt TLS ciphertext data by leveraging a Bleichenbacher RSA padding oracle, aka a ROBOT attack.
The bug was discovered 12/12/2017. The weakness was released 03/05/2018 by Juraj Somorovsky with Tripwire VERT as cisco-sa-20171212-bleichenbach as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at tools.cisco.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-17428 since 12/05/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
