A vulnerability was found in Exempi up to 2.4.4 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function WEBP::VP8XChunk of the file XMPFiles/source/FormatSupport/WEBP_Support.cpp. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. An issue was discovered in Exempi through 2.4.4. XMPFiles/source/FormatSupport/WEBP_Support.cpp does not check whether a bitstream has a NULL value, leading to a NULL pointer dereference in the WEBP::VP8XChunk class.
