A vulnerability was found in Joomla CMS up to 3.8.1 (Content Management System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Notes List View. In Joomla! 3.5.0 through 3.8.5, the lack of type casting of a variable in a SQL statement leads to a SQL injection vulnerability in the User Notes list view.
The bug was discovered 03/08/2018. The weakness was disclosed 03/15/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at developer.joomla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-8045 since 03/10/2018.
