A vulnerability was found in Zikula Application Framework up to 1.3.6 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the file index.php. Zikula Application Framework before 1.3.7 build 11 allows remote attackers to conduct PHP object injection attacks and delete arbitrary files or execute arbitrary PHP code via crafted serialized data in the (1) authentication_method_ser or (2) authentication_info_ser parameter to index.php, or (3) zikulaMobileTheme parameter to index.php.
The bug was discovered 03/10/2014. The weakness was published 03/26/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared at exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-2293 since 03/06/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 1.3.7 eliminates this vulnerability.
