Cisco IOS 12.1YD, 12.2T, 12.3 and 12.3T, when configured for the IOS Telephony Service (ITS), CallManager Express (CME) or Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (device reboot) via a malformed packet to the SCCP port.

The bug was discovered 01/19/2005. The weakness was presented 01/19/2005 with Cisco (Website). The advisory is shared at cisco.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-0186 since 01/28/2005. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
