The Trello board importer resource in Atlassian Jira before version 7.6.1 allows remote attackers who can convince a Jira administrator to import their Trello board to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript via a cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the title of a Trello card.

The bug was discovered 04/05/2018. The weakness was presented 04/06/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at jira.atlassian.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-18097 since 02/01/2018. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
