On F5 BIG-IP 13.1.0-13.1.0.3 or 13.0.0, when authenticated administrative users execute commands in the Traffic Management User Interface (TMUI), also referred to as the BIG-IP Configuration utility, restrictions on allowed commands may not be enforced.

The bug was discovered 04/13/2018. The weakness was shared 04/13/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.f5.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-5511 since 01/12/2018. The attack may be launched remotely. A simple authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
