Open Web Analytics (OWA) before 1.5.7 allows remote attackers to conduct PHP object injection attacks via a crafted serialized object in the owa_event parameter to queue.php.

The bug was discovered 03/12/2014. The weakness was published 04/17/2018 by Egidio Romano (Website). The advisory is shared for download at openwebanalytics.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-2294 since 03/06/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1055.

Upgrading to version 1.5.7 eliminates this vulnerability.
