The Backup Server component in SAP Sybase ASE 15.7 before SP51 allows remote attackers to bypass access restrictions and perform database dumps by leveraging failure to validate credentials, aka SAP Security Note 1927859.
The bug was discovered 01/10/2014. The weakness was released 04/24/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at blog.spiderlabs.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-7245 since 12/31/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
