A vulnerability has been found in Advantech WebAccess, WebAccess Dashboard and WebAccess Scada Node (SCADA Software) (version unknown) and classified as critical. In Advantech WebAccess versions V8.2_20170817 and prior, WebAccess versions V8.3.0 and prior, WebAccess Dashboard versions V.2.0.15 and prior, WebAccess Scada Node versions prior to 8.3.1, and WebAccess/NMS 2.0.3 and prior, several SQL injection vulnerabilities have been identified, which may allow an attacker to disclose sensitive information from the host.

The bug was discovered 05/15/2018. The weakness was released 05/15/2018 by Steven Seeley (rgod) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-7501 since 02/26/2018. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
