Details
A vulnerability was found in f2e-server up to 1.12.11 on Node.js (JavaScript Library). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality. The manipulation with the input value ../ leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, and integrity. CVE summarizes:
`f2e-server` 1.12.11 and earlier is vulnerable to a directory traversal issue, giving an attacker access to the filesystem by placing "../" in the url. This is compounded by `f2e-server` requiring elevated privileges to run.
