A vulnerability was found in VMware NSX SD-WAN Edge up to 2.x/3.1.1 (Network Management Software). It has been classified as critical. VMware NSX SD-WAN Edge by VeloCloud prior to version 3.1.0 contains a command injection vulnerability in the local web UI component. This component is disabled by default and should not be enabled on untrusted networks. VeloCloud by VMware will be removing this service from the product in future releases. Successful exploitation of this issue could result in remote code execution.

The bug was discovered 05/15/2018. The weakness was presented 06/11/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared at vmware.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-6961 since 02/14/2018.
