A vulnerability was found in iThemes Security up to 7.0.2 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component Logs Page. The iThemes Security (better-wp-security) plugin before 7.0.3 for WordPress allows SQL Injection (by attackers with Admin privileges) via the logs page.
The bug was discovered 06/20/2018. The weakness was disclosed 06/22/2018 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at wordpress.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-12636 since 06/21/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is required for exploitation.
