A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in TP-LINK TL-WA850RE 5 (Router Operating System). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /data/syslog.filter.json. The manipulation of the argument type as part of a Parameter leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Stack-based buffer overflow in TP-Link TL-WA850RE Wi-Fi Range Extender with hardware version 5 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (outage) via a long type parameter to /data/syslog.filter.json.
