MediaWiki before 1.19.10, 1.2x before 1.21.4, and 1.22.x before 1.22.1 does not properly sanitize SVG files, which allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via invalid XML.

The weakness was released 12/16/2013 by Ravindra Singh Rathore (Bawolff) with RationalWiki as MediaWiki Security Releases: 1.22.1, 1.21.4 and 1.19.10 as confirmed posting (Mailing List). It is possible to read the advisory at lists.wikimedia.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-6453 since 11/04/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely.
