Details
A vulnerability was found in Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile and Snapdragon Wear (Chip Software) (the affected version is unknown) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code of the component SSR Processor. The manipulation as part of a Variable leads to a use after free vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-416. Referencing memory after it has been freed can cause a program to crash, use unexpected values, or execute code. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
While processing modem SSR after IMS is registered, the IMS data daemon is restarted but the ipc_dataHandle is no longer available. Consequently, the DPL thread frees the internal memory for dataDHandle but the local variable pointer is not updated which can lead to a Use After Free condition in Snapdragon Mobile and Snapdragon Wear.
