The Microsoft Bing application before 4.2.1 for Android allows remote attackers to install arbitrary APK files via vectors involving a crafted DNS response.

The weakness was shared 01/23/2014 with Trustlook as Hackers can pwn your Android in 10 seconds, if you use Bing App in Starbucks as confirmed posting (Blog). The advisory is shared at blog.trustlook.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-1670 since 01/25/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059 for this issue.
