A vulnerability was found in Gogs up to 0.11. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function isValidRedirect. The manipulation of the argument redirect_to as part of a Parameter leads to a redirect vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Open redirect vulnerability in Gogs before 0.12 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary websites and conduct phishing attacks via an initial /\ substring in the user/login redirect_to parameter, related to the function isValidRedirect in routes/user/auth.go.
