A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Drupal 7.25 (Content Management System). This affects the function drupal_form_submit of the component Form API. The manipulation of the argument $form_state['programmed_bypass_access_check'] with the input value false leads to a privileges management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. The weakness was presented 01/15/2014 by Damien Tournoud, David Rothstein, Marc Ingram and Kyle Browning as SA-CORE-2014-001 - Drupal core - Multiple vulnerabilities as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at drupal.org. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the project team. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-1475 since 01/16/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
