A vulnerability has been found in NVIDIA GeForce Experience up to 3.14.0 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component GameStream Installation. NVIDIA GeForce Experience all versions prior to 3.14.1 contains a potential vulnerability during GameStream installation where an attacker who has system access can potentially conduct a Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack to obtain sensitive information.
The bug was discovered 08/30/2018. The weakness was released 08/31/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at nvidia.custhelp.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-6258 since 01/24/2018.
