A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick 7.0.8-11 Q16 (Image Processing Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is the function ParseImageResourceBlocks of the file MagickCore/quantum-private.h. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. ImageMagick 7.0.8-11 Q16 has a heap-based buffer over-read in the MagickCore/quantum-private.h PushShortPixel function when called from the coders/psd.c ParseImageResourceBlocks function.
The bug was discovered 08/16/2018. The weakness was published 09/03/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com.
