Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Microsoft ASP.NET (.Net) 1.0 and 1.1 to SP1 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or web script via Unicode representations for ASCII fullwidth characters that are converted to normal ASCII characters, including ">" and "<".
The weakness was released 02/09/2005 by Andrey Rusyaev with FESU (Far Eastern State University), Vladivostok, (Website). The advisory is shared for download at it-project.ru. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-0452 since 02/16/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
