It was found that the CloudForms before 5.6.2.2, and 5.7.0.7 did not properly apply permissions controls to VM IDs passed by users. A remote, authenticated attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary VMs on systems managed by CloudForms if they know the ID of the VM.
The bug was discovered 10/20/2016. The weakness was released 09/10/2018 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-7071 since 08/23/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a single authentication.
