core/html/parser/XSSAuditor.cpp in the XSS auditor in Blink, as used in Google Chrome before 33.0.1750.117, inserts the about:blank URL during certain blocking of FORM elements within HTTP requests, which allows remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy and obtain sensitive information via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was released 02/20/2014 by Antoine Delignat-Lavaud (Cloudfuzzer) with Google as Stable Channel Update as confirmed release notes (Blog). The advisory is shared at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2013-6657 since 11/05/2013. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
