A vulnerability was found in Adobe ColdFusion 2016 Update 6/2018/up to 11 Update 14 (Programming Language Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown function. Adobe ColdFusion versions July 12 release (2018.0.0.310739), Update 6 and earlier, and Update 14 and earlier have a deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
The bug was discovered 09/11/2018. The weakness was presented 09/11/2018 by Matthias Kaiser with Code White as APSB18-33 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). The advisory is available at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-15965 since 08/28/2018. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely.
