Insufficient policy enforcement in Catalog Service in Google Chrome prior to 64.0.3282.119 allowed a remote attacker to potentially run arbitrary code outside sandbox via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 12/01/2017. The weakness was presented 09/25/2018 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at chromereleases.googleblog.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-6055 since 01/22/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
