A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in zzcms 8.3 (Content Management System). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file user/zssave.php. The manipulation of the argument oldimg as part of a Modify Request leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. An issue was discovered in zzcms 8.3. user/zssave.php allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences in the oldimg parameter in an action=modify request. This can be leveraged for database access by deleting install.lock.
