The bug was discovered 07/03/2018. The weakness was presented 10/18/2018 by Damian Poddebniak (Basti) as Bug 1464056 as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-12373 since 06/14/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1592 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
