Dell EMC RecoverPoint versions prior to 5.1.2.1 and RecoverPoint for VMs versions prior to 5.2.0.2 contain an information disclosure vulnerability. A malicious boxmgmt user may potentially be able to determine the existence of any system file via Boxmgmt CLI.

The bug was discovered 11/08/2018. The weakness was released 11/13/2018 by Paul as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-15771 since 08/23/2018. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.
