Incorrect texture handling in Angle in Google Chrome prior to 70.0.3538.67 allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 12/11/2018. The weakness was disclosed 11/14/2018 by Samuel Gross (xisigr) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-17466 since 09/25/2018. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
