Incorrect handling of history on iOS in Navigation in Google Chrome prior to 70.0.3538.67 allowed a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 10/16/2018. The weakness was published 11/14/2018 by Samuel Gross (xisigr) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-17475 since 09/25/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
