In f2fs_format_utils.c WITH_BLKDISCARD is not defined, which may cause the data partition to not be wiped at factory reset, leading to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. The bug was discovered 11/05/2018. The weakness was disclosed 11/14/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at source.android.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-9543 since 04/05/2018. The attack needs to be approached locally. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
