A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue affected versions prior to iOS 12.1.1, tvOS 12.1.1, watchOS 5.1.2, Safari 12.0.2, iTunes 12.9.2 for Windows, iCloud for Windows 7.9.
The bug was discovered 12/05/2018. The weakness was disclosed 12/05/2018 by Ryan Pickren (lokihardt) with Google Project Zero as HT209340 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-4441 since 01/02/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
