A vulnerability was found in IBM BigFix Platform (Endpoint Management Software). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality of the component Cookie Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a session fixiation vulnerability (httponly). Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-384. Authenticating a user, or otherwise establishing a new user session, without invalidating any existing session identifier gives an attacker the opportunity to steal authenticated sessions. IBM BigFix Platform 9.2.0 through 9.2.14 and 9.5 through 9.5.9 does not set the 'HttpOnly' attribute on authorization tokens or session cookies. If a Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability also existed attackers may be able to get the cookie values via malicious JavaScript and then hijack the user session. IBM X-Force ID: 140762.
